In June 2024, I lost my mum to Alzheimer's disease. Watching her fade away was heartbreaking, and it left a void that words can't describe. To honor her memory and fight back against this cruel disease, I’ve decided to run 10km to raise funds for Alzheimer's Research UK.

Alzheimer's Research UK is at the forefront of the battle against this disease, working tirelessly to find a cure and improve treatments. Every pound raised brings us closer to a world where no family has to endure what mine did.

Running has always been a passion of mine, but this 10km race feels like a significant challenge, especially after having a baby! Balancing motherhood and training is tough, but my daughter inspires me every day. My dad, a keen runner himself, and my mum's primary carer for many years, shows strength, positivity, and unending support that motivates me to take on this challenge. Both my dad and daughter remind me of the importance of hope and action, and together, we believe in making a difference.

This run is more than just a race for me; it's a tribute to my mum and a step towards a brighter future for those affected by Alzheimer's. I hope you'll join me in this cause. 💜
