Story
Hi everyone,
My name is Ella, I’m 14 years old and I’m raising money for the sarcoma charity, a cause that means a lot to me ❤️
I have chosen to support this charity because I was diagnosed with osteosarcoma when I was 12 and spent nearly the next 2 years back and forth to different hospitals. Seeing kids of all ages from tiny babies to 16 year olds fighting for their life to live. I went through quite a few operations to help and get rid of the tumour on my knee which thankfully we managed to do but still had to do intense chemotherapy sessions after to make sure nothing came back. The light at the end of the tunnel was slowly getting closer . Being able to spend the holidays with my friends and family made it so much easier realising I had so many people to support and help. Finally we made it to the end of my treatment. I was now in outpatients, seeing my consultant and having frequent X-rays to make sure nothing came back.
A year went past when I was starting to have trouble breathing which left me in the hospital on the same ward I was on a year ago. This time with a collapsed lung. This is when we got told I have another tumour lining my lung which cannot be surgically removed. I have to start chemotherapy again to give me more time. I will always be fighting and encourage others to fight and stay strong so they can spend the rest of their life making memories.
I really want to make a difference, to help everyone that needs it, and I thought this would be a good way to start ❤️
To help raise money, my family of all ages are going to be running a 5k which won’t be easy but everyone has the strength in them, and I’m excited to give it my best!
Every single donation, big or small will mean a lot to me and others which will go directly to the sarcoma charity to help them continue their amazing work ❤️
If you are not able to donate, sharing this page will also be a massive help.
Thank you so much for everyone’s support
Ella ❤️
