Skydiving and Bungee Jump

Former Liverpool, Bradford City and Bolton Wanderers footballer Stephen Darby and close friend and British Forces Veteran Chris Rimmer have partnered together to launch the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation. Stephen and Chris both have Motor Neurone Disease and have created a Foundation to create awareness of MND, to fund and assist research into the illness with the quest of finding a cure for the illness, to raise funds and offer grants to those with MND, as well as creating a network to help provide information and emotional support network for those diagnosed with the disease.

Story

Anyone who knows me well knows my biggest fear is heights. It was almost 6 years ago I was sat in a plane at 15,000ft with Stephen Darby when the plane door/shutter opened and we made our way to the open door, took a deep breath and jumped out separately (in a tandem). All to raise money and awareness for Motor Neurone Disease Association Charity.

Stephen had been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease 18 months earlier and jumped (excuse the pun) at the chance to join a group of amazing people who wanted to raise as much awareness and donations for this MND charity and show our support to Stephen and his incredible wife, Steph.

Stephen Darby is one of the most inspirational, amazing human beings I have ever been blessed to meet and call my friend.

His courage and his strength to fight each day with Motor Neurone Disease is absolutely incredible and yet he still continues to put others first and try to raise awareness and resources for others fighting this disease.

So this time round... Myself and my wife Jemma are hoping to push ourselves out of our comfort zones and do some fundraising activities including a Skydive from 15,000ft and a bungee jump from over 130ft. All to raise awareness and donations for Stephen's Charity : Darby Rimmer MND Foundation which aims to increase the awareness, provide funds to support families and continue the much needed research to find a cure for Motor Neurone Disease.

Anything you can spare to support the Darby Rimmer Foundation is massively appreciated.
