Story
I’m running my half marathon for a very special little boy called Arlo and I hope that after reading a short bit about Arlo’s story, you can help me raise money to fund vital research into miscarriage, still birth and premature birth.
A little bit about Arlo’s story from his amazing mummy!
‘Arlo has had an incredibly challenging start at life, being born at 29 weeks exactly. Arlo had amniotic bands around him during pregnancy which has consequently seen him in Intensive Care, High Dependency Unit and Special Care. He is now 37 weeks and currently still in Birmingham Women and Children’s Hospital following two major operations, the first at Bristol and the second at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. This is the start of a long journey ahead for Arlo.
We would like to raise awareness for complications caused by amniotic bands and if you ever feel unsure of anything in your pregnancy push for answers and second opinions. ♥️♥️♥️’
Already in Arlo’s very short life so far he has faced more obstacles than many of us will in our lifetime. Tommys chairty provides fundamental research into stories like Arlo’s and puts saving babies lives at the for forefront of everything they do.
Arlo and his family have been through so much and to still be putting one foot in front of the other and pushing forward to get Arlo home just shows how strong they really are!
Arlo, you are such a fighter, here is to getting you home with your mummy and daddy!
Please donate if you can and please share, we’d all be so grateful.
