Story
On 12th April 2026, I’ll be running the Paris Marathon to raise funds for MQ Mental Health Research — a charity whose work means a great deal to me personally.
Having faced my own battles with mental health, and seeing so many people close to me struggle too, I know just how tough and ongoing that fight can be. Mental illness affects each of us differently, yet one thing is certain — we need better understanding, better treatments, and ultimately, hope. That’s exactly what MQ is working towards.
Right now, 1 in 4 people in the UK are living with a mental health condition. MQ funds groundbreaking scientific research across the world, investigating everything from depression and anxiety to schizophrenia and eating disorders. They’re bringing together experts from neuroscience, psychology, and social science to find real answers and create lasting change.
I’m running to support this vital mission — for myself, for the people I love, and for everyone fighting their own invisible battles every day. Because without research, it’s just guesswork — and we all deserve better than that.
Every step I take, and every pound raised, helps bring us closer to a future where mental illness is understood, treated effectively, and one day prevented.
Thank you so much for your support ❤️❤️
Love Ells xo
