Story
Thank you so much for visiting my JustGiving page.
I founded Eden’s Trust (Registered Charity No. 1136092) in memory of my beautiful daughter, Eden, who tragically lost her life in 2006 while on holiday at a five-star resort in Turkey. During an entertainment stunt that went horribly wrong, a bottle of flammable liquid caught fire and exploded, sending fireballs into the crowd. Eden took the full impact of the explosion, suffering severe burns over 70% of her body. Despite the efforts of medical staff, she passed away two days later, on 31 July 2006, aged just six.
In the aftermath of her loss, I was confronted not only by overwhelming grief but also by the lack of specialised counselling for parents and siblings who have lost a child. Determined to make a difference, I established Eden’s Trust to provide free support groups and counselling for bereaved families. These groups launched in May 2010 and continue to offer a safe, understanding space for those navigating unimaginable loss.
Now, 15 years on, our work is as vital as ever. We have built a strong network of families who, sadly, share this experience and desperately need the support Eden’s Trust provides.
We are currently raising funds to ensure we can continue offering these free services. To help achieve this, I’m taking part in a 3-hour JumpFitness/Danceathon, and I would be deeply grateful for your support. No donation is too small or too large — every contribution truly makes a difference.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read Eden’s story and for any help you can give. I hope you’ll join me on the day to support this very special cause.
