Story
My name is Ellia and I was diagnosed with a brain tumour in the summer of 2025. Life has been like a rollercoaster since with weekly trips to hospital locally and regionally. During this time, OSCAR's Paediatric Brain Tumour Charity have helped me by sending booster boxes in the post and they are funding some play therapy to allow me to understand some of my emotions. Since my diagnosis, OSCAR's is having more of a presence down here in the far South West and I want to do all I can to raise money to help other children like me.
You have heard of my weekly journey through hospital. Why not join me on your own journey across Dartmoor to help raise money for this brilliant charity. If you cannot participate and join us on the day, perhaps you may consider donating to my page. Every penny counts. Thank you so much! Ellia
A note from the charity:
OSCAR's Paediatric Brain Tumour Charity are walking 15 miles of Dartmoor to raise money to support children with brain tumours and their families, raise awareness of signs and symptoms of this terrible disease, and fund research into better and kinder treatments.
Our amazing team of children and families will be walking to help as many other children and families as possible but very much thinking of local girl Ellia Smith, who is undergoing treatment for a brain tumour diagnosed in 2025.
