Ellie's fundraiser for British Heart Foundation

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·
Thanks for visiting my page!
Next April I will be running the London Marathon in memory of my dad who passed away after suffering from a sudden heart attack at just 57. Our dad was talented, kind, intelligent and hilarious. A wonderful husband and father to four, our dad loved music and adored playing sport, badminton especially, and we assumed he was totally fit and healthy. He is missed each and every day but will always be a huge part of our lives.
It seems deeply unfair that our dad has missed out on so many moments and memories that he should have been part of. I want to support the BHF in honour of our dad, and to hopefully contribute to a future where fewer families have to suffer the sudden loss of a loved one.
This ones for you pops.
The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target. Thanks!
