Story
We’re doing this in memory of our beautiful Mum, Tamla, who sadly lost her 3 year battle with a brain tumour on 2nd May 2026, far too young and far too soon. At the end the support of the Sue Ryder Wheatfields hospice was invaluable. She fought incredibly hard, but sadly brain tumours continue to take far too many loved ones from their families.
So, in her memory Me, Sam, Maisie, Jack, Ellie, Owen & Archie (who has only just found his feet!) are taking part in a 10k Starlight Hike this year - walking under the stars to help make sure more people get the expert care and support they deserve at the end of their life.
Sue Ryder believes how we die matters. Their nurses, doctors and bereavement specialists support people through terminal illness, death and grief - but too many still aren’t getting the care they need. That isn’t right, and I want to help change it.
Last year, Sue Ryder delivered more than 655,000 hours of expert care. Every second was made possible by people who chose to get involved.
If you’re able to sponsor us, you’ll be helping make every step count — so more people can get the expert care and support they deserve when it matters most. Thank you so much for the support.
