In September I will be taking on the World’s Biggest Half Marathon, the Great North Run, for Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS).

I have been volunteering with this amazing charity since the end of 2025, taking part in various different fundraising events, trying to raise as much as possible. I am also about to begin a new role as an Outreach Community Nursing Support volunteer, being able to volunteer with CHAS in multiple capacities is a huge privilege and something I really enjoy!

In my role as a student paediatric nurse I have seen first hand the impact this charity can have, providing palliative care for children and support for their families. The charity is currently on a mission to raise £20 million to complete essential upgrades to both Rachel and Robin House, building on two already amazing hospices, to be able to provide greater support to children and their families.

Any donations would be hugely appreciated, let’s try and raise as much as possible for CHAS!
