Ellen's fundraiser for Holbeach and East Elloe Hospital Trust

Ellen Storey is raising money for Holbeach and East Elloe Hospital Trust
In memory of Kevin Storey

Everest Base Camp Trek · 6 September 2025

Holbeach Hospital was formed in 1988 after the South Lincolnshire Health Authority announced their intention to close Holbeach Hospital. Rather than fight the closure, local community leaders chose to work with the health authority to find a way for the facility to remain open.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This September, I’ll be trekking to Everest Base Camp in support of Holbeach Hospital, where my Dad Kevin Storey spent the final weeks of his life.

The 11-day trek to Everest Base Camp, reaching an altitude of 5,364m, is a challenge I’m taking on in his memory and to raise vital funds for this small community hospital in the town where I grew up. Their work is invaluable to families in need, and I want to help ensure they can continue providing care.

If you’d like to support me and Holbeach Hospital, any donation—no matter how small—would mean the world. With the social care sector facing chronic underfunding, Holbeach Hospital relies heavily on donations. My trek is fully self-funded, so every penny raised will go directly to them.

I've set this up in addition to the Paypal Donate page which has many donations, but some people have issues with PayPal and I decided to create an alternative.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
