On Sunday 12th May 2024, myself and my mum will be running our first ever marathon in support of the Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease Appeal.

MND affects the nerves in the brain and spinal cord, subsequently affecting how you walk, talk, eat, drink and breathe. It is a life-shortening disease with no known cure.

It can affect adults of any age, but is more likely to affect people over 50. There is a 1 in 300 risk of being diagnosed with MND.

Although the disease will progress at varying speeds, symptoms can be managed to help achieve the best possible quality of life.

With your help, we can build a £6.8 million state-of-the-art MND Care Centre in our hometown of Leeds. To give people with MND and their families the best possible care and support.
