Story
This autumn I'm running three half marathons in three months to raise money for Mind in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest (Mind CHWF), starting with the Run Shoreditch Half Marathon in September, followed by the Epping Forest Half Marathon in October and finishing with the Victoria Park Half Marathon in November.
Every year, 1 in 4 people in England will experience a mental health problem of some kind. At any given time, 1 in 5 people report experiencing a common mental health issue such as anxiety or depression, and around 1 in 5 children and young people aged 8 to 25 have a probable mental health problem.
Everyone should have easy access to mental health support when things feel scary, overwhelming, or when it feels like there's nowhere to turn. Having someone there to listen and help navigate life's challenges can be life-changing, and no one should have to struggle alone, especially in those moments when you might feel most alone.
The work that Mind does is so important in helping to tackle this, which is why I'm raising money for Mind CHWF. Their work provides vital services, advice, and support to people who are struggling with their mental health, helping them navigate difficult times and build healthier, happier lives.
If you're able to donate, no matter how big or small, I'd be incredibly grateful. Thank you so much!
