Story
Earlier this year, my best friend Dobby sadly lost his dad to cancer. Seeing first-hand the incredible support that charities provide to patients and their families during the hardest times made me want to do something to give back.
Our original hope was to run the London Marathon for Sue Ryder, as they were an amazing support to Dobby’s dad and his family throughout his illness. Unfortunately, there weren’t any charity places available, but we were incredibly lucky to secure places with Macmillan Cancer Support on our very first attempt.
Earlier this year, we went to cheer on our good friend Kelly, running the London Marathon. The atmosphere, determination and generosity we saw that day inspired us to take on the challenge ourselves.
Now we’re training for 26.2 miles to raise £2,750 for Macmillan, another incredible charity that provides vital care, support and guidance to people living with cancer and their loved ones every single day.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help us reach our target and make a real difference. Thank you so much for supporting us, it genuinely means the world.
