Sands operates across the UK: supporting anyone affected by the death of a baby; working in partnership with health professionals to ensure that bereaved parents and families receive the best possible care; and promoting improvements in practice and funding research that could help to reduce the loss of babies’ lives.

I am running the Cardiff Half Marathon in memory of my nephews Tyler and Riley Goodger. Tyler, was sadly born stillborn prematurely. Riley was born prematurely and stayed with us for a short while before passing. After Riley’s death, my sister Emma, fought for change. Emma met with the Welsh government petitioning to change medical guidelines to give babies like Riley a fighting chance to survive.
