Story
I can’t believe that I’m even writing this post but I’m running a marathon!!! 🫢🤣💜
I am running for Young Epilepsy, a charity I so desperately wished I had as a child. They do fantastic work in the community, in raising awareness around childhood epilepsy, and to being there to support those young people suffering with the awful disease and their families.
As a child, I suffered with a severe case of epilepsy. My seizures were so severe that my parents did not believe I would be released from hospital. My family were put through extreme heartache and suffering seeing me so poorly, but I always had a little smile on my face and a glimmer of hope. I suffered with epilepsy throughout most of my childhood and when I turned 11, I finally received the seizure free status. 11 years later, here I am 😊
I’m running the marathon for little Ellie and the children across the country who are suffering with epilepsy to show them that you can get better, and that you can live a happy and healthy life. I want to be an inspiration for the young people who too are suffering with epilepsy, to show them that anything is possible. 💜
I would also like to donate a small fraction of my funds to University Hospital of North Tees’ Paediatrics Department for taking such good care of me in my childhood days and for helping me become the healthy, happy and bubbly young lady I am today!
I hope that you are able to support me. I now need to get training! 🥹✨💜

Want to join me in supporting a good cause? I'm doing a challenge to help children and young people with epilepsy.
Your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate £5 or £500. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your support.
Epilepsy can be one of the most frightening and isolating conditions a young person can experience. Together we can improve research, treatment and practical support.
