We're Taking on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge for the Stroke Association!
Following the incredible success of our 2023 National 3 Peaks and 2024 Calderdale Way Challenges, we’re back with another ambitious goal for 2025 — the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge!
On Saturday, 13th September, a determined team of Newsome and Penmann colleagues will take on the 24-mile route, climbing over 5,000 feet across the stunning peaks of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough — all in support of the Stroke Association.
One of the driving forces behind our decision to support the Stroke Association is deeply personal for several members of the Newsome team. On 22nd March 2025, Oliver Holroyd, a childhood friend to three of our colleagues, tragically passed away at just 29 years old, after suffering a stroke whilst abroad, celebrating his stag do. The loss has been devastating for his friends and family. Oly leaves behind his fiancée, Paige, and their young son, Finley, who is only one year old. The emotional toll of the past few months has been immeasurable for all who knew him.
In honour of Oly’s memory, we are committed to raising as much money as possible and increasing awareness of strokes in young people. This cause is more than just a fundraiser for us; it’s a way to ensure that his untimely passing leads to something meaningful and helps prevent others from facing similar heartache
Please support us if you can — every donation, no matter the size, makes a meaningful impact.
