Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On June 13/14 my dad and I are undertaking the gruelling 100k Cotswold Way Ultra Challenge covering a big loop from Cirencester to Wotton-Under-Edge and back with one brief overnight stop.

We are raising money for 2 charities close to our hearts - Cancer Research and FND Action.

So many friends and family have battled with cancer in recent years and fortunately due to early detection and successful treatment are still here - Nessie you particularly are in my thoughts. Others, however, are sadly are no longer with us: 3 of Kyle’s grandparents, my Uncle Griff, my wonderful friend and old singing teacher Liza Fredericks, actor JB whose twinkle and embracing of life will forever influence me and notably for my dad, the recent loss of his old rugby teammate and close friend, Al Tindale, to name only a handful. With more than 403,000 people currently being diagnosed with cancer each year in the UK, according to latest statistics, continued investment in research is vital in preventing and treating all cancers.
