Story
“Funny, talented and genuine. Clever, thoughtful, gutsy – his energy and personality were infectious. A beautiful human. Brave like a lion, with a twinkle in his eye. Fiercely Intelligent. Protective. Handsome bastard. Dependable, lovable warm.”
Our amazing RADA classmate and friend Dan died unexpectedly of heart failure a month ago. He leaves behind his loving wife and beautiful baby daughter.
In the words of one of Dan’s best friends, Lucia Macanespie…
“We had fun at RADA, like serious fun – but we worked hard – and no one harder than Dan. We were learning the art of performance and storytelling, which is a powerful thing - And Dan was incredibly good at it. He was a wonderful actor.
He was also a great addition to our year. If you were out on Tottenham Court Road on Friday night with Dan Percival in the early 2000’s – you knew you were on the party bus. But you also knew you would get home; you knew you would be safe because Dan was there.
He achieved more things and affected more people in his 44 short years, than some people do in a lifetime.
He was a scholar of economics, then an actor. He performed all over the world, made TV programmes and films – “Deuce Bigalo, Male Gigilo 2” is a gift he leaves to all of us… He was a business man; he built a community in Crouch End; he ran a You Tube channel during lockdown. He changed people’s lives for the better. He made a mark.
There was not a moment wasted, not a noteleft unsung. Dan lived the life he was given…
Dan you were our friend. You were here and you mattered. You were so loved. We are really going to miss you.”
We're raising money for the British Heart Foundation and we'd be grateful for your support. We want to ensure BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures.
Thank you so much!
