After having my daughter in 2024, I quite badly suffered with post-partum anxiety. On numerous occasions I had mental break downs about motherhood, most commonly about something awful happening to my daughter for no reason. PAPYRUS put me into a position where I am able to seek the help that I needed, helping me get to a more sound state of mind and ease my anxiety. Now it's my turn to give back. Dan and I are taking part in this skydive to raise money so that other mums like me are able to get the help that they deserve.

For the first time in its 28-year history, PAPYRUS has launched an emergency appeal. They are currently facing an unprecedented increase in demand for their services, coupled with a significant decline in donations, leaving them in a critical position.

Did you know that every three minutes, young people—some as young as seven—contact HOPELINE247 in distress? In 2023, PAPYRUS extended its services to operate 24/7, resulting in a 66% increase in demand. However, without raising £440,000 soon, they will not be able to continue providing this life-saving service. The funds are essential to ensure that their advisors are properly trained in suicide prevention, which is costly but necessary.

We want to raise money for PAPYRUS so that those who are struggling are able to get the help that they need and deserve. So many people believe they need to push themselves to meet these awful criteria’s and be ‘sick enough’ to get help, which can unfortunately be true a lot of the time. We want to raise money to do our part in lowering this ‘criteria’ and enabling everyone to get help no matter the severity wether it’s a life long illness or they’re just having one of those days.
