Story
On the two-year anniversary of losing my beautiful mummy Rebecca, the Tyrrell family are coming together to walk across Seven Sisters in her memory - length weather dependent!
Mummy lived with a long-term autoimmune disease called rheumatoid arthritis and in her final years, gradually lost her mobility. Arthritis is often called an invisible illness as not everyone can see the pain, fatigue, and impact it has on everyday life. Over time, it can damage cartilage and bone, leading to reduced mobility and disability. Even impacting organs like the heart, lungs, and eyes.
We’re raising money for Versus Arthritis, a charity that invests in breakthrough treatment and support for everyone affected by arthritis. Funding research into new treatments and cures, whilst also campaigning for policy changes to improve lives.
This isn’t a marathon, and that’s the point!
Being able bodied and having the freedom to move our legs is something you can so often take for granted. On her anniversary we want to honour her in a way she’d be proud of: together, walking, laughing, remembering, and raising money to help others still living through it.
We are of course inviting anybody that wants to celebrate her to take part. Whether you can support in donations or simply a share, it would mean so much to us. Thank you 💙
