On the 13th October, I am going to be running the Melbourne Marathon for Mesothelioma UK for my incredible friend Hannah.

Shortly after her 28th birthday in 2023, we found out the devastating news that Hannah had been diagnosed with mesothelioma. Very sadly, Hannah had also lost her mum, Katherine, to the same illness 4 years ago.

However, my amazing friend has not let her diagnosis stop her. She radiates unwavering courage, bravery and resilience and shows everyone around her how to live life to the full. Since her diagnosis, Hannah celebrated her AMAZING wedding, has been to music festivals and continued with her love of travelling, all whilst receiving treatment.

Everyday I am in awe of her.

So for my wonderful friend I’m going to put one foot in front of the other for 42.195km. I am doing this in support of Mesothelioma UK who work to support, educate and advocate for better treatment for patients.
