Ellie's fundraiser for Aspire

Ellie Wills is raising money for Aspire

something else

Every two hours someone in the UK is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. It can happen to anyone at any time and no one is prepared for how it will change their life. Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help, supporting spinal cord injured people from injury to independence.

Story

Back in November last year my Dad, Tim, had an accident that resulted in a spinal cord injury leaving him with very limited movement from the shoulders down.

He is currently at a rehabilitation centre being put to work or as he says being tortured (where I get my dramatics from!). When Dad leaves the amazing rehabilitation centre, he will need around the clock care and ongoing physio therapy for the rest of his life. He will be bound to a wheel chair. But this doesn't mean he should loose his independence! Therefore we want to get him the equipment and help he needs to start living life again (even if this new life looks different).

Over the next few months I will be fundraising in many different ways to raise as much money as possible, including a sky dive in august ahh!

So please, if you are able to donate it would mean the world to my dad and our family.

All donations will be recieved by Aspire - A national spinal cord injury charity who will help manage the fund. As a charity, Aspire will claim any Gift Aid on my behalf, meaning Gift Aid donations will go even further in supporting dad. Aspire will receive a percentage of the total fund, allowing them to continue their vital services in supporting dad and others like him.

thank you,

Ellie xx
