Ellie & Alisha’s fundraiser for The Farm Safety Foundation

Ellie Welch is raising money for The Farm Safety Foundation

The Dorset mud run · 17 May 2026

Rising concern over the continuing high level of fatal and life-changing injury accidents on farms prompted NFU Mutual to set up a charitable foundation to help all farmers, and especially young farmers, work more safely. The Foundation works closely with farmers, the farming unions and a range of farming organisations, including the Farm Safety Partnerships of England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, to help reduce the toll of fatal and serious injury accidents which, regrettably, have made farming the most dangerous occupation in the UK. The Foundation's 'Yellow Wellies' campaign specifically targets young farmers aged 16 to 40 years of age.

Story

On the 17th May 2026, Ellie and Alisha will be taking on the Dorset Mud Run 2026 to raise money for the Yellow Wellies Farm Safety Foundation.

As two women heavily involved in farming and agriculture, this cause is incredibly close to our hearts. Through farming, we have seen the impact that serious farm accidents can have on individuals, families, and the wider farming community both physically and mentally. It’s something we would never wish upon anyone, which is why supporting this charity means so much to us.

We’ll be throwing ourselves into mud, water, and obstacles to help raise awareness and support the amazing work Yellow Wellies does to improve farm safety and wellbeing across agriculture and you’ll spot us running in our Yellow Wellies branded T shirts along the way!

Any donation, no matter how big or small, would mean so much to us and this incredible cause. Thank you for your support 💛
