Ellie And Phil's fundraiser for Terrence Higgins Trust

RED RUN 2024 · 23 November 2024 ·
We are Ellie and Phil, two gobby Northerners, and best mates. We are also both living with HIV and met through the charity Terrence Higgins Trust.
We will both be running the World AIDS Day Red Run 2024 on November 23rd in costumes to raise money for this amazing charity that brought us together.
About Ellie -
Ellie is 27 and recently moved to Manchester. By day she manages the customer operations team for a large fashion retailer, but by night she works passionately to combat HIV & sexual health stigma. Ellie was diagnosed with HIV when she was just 21, from a routine at-home STI test, although entirely shocked at the time she’s used her experience and status to raise awareness and education around HIV. She’s now fully embraced her positive status and has a positive symbol on her middle finger to prove it!
About Phil -
Phil is 42 and originally from Middlesbrough but now lives in London. He has been a theatre blogger and YouTube presenter and has worked as an actor in TV and film for over fifteen years, starting out as a body double for Daniel Radcliffe in Harry Potter. He has been living with HIV since 2016 and now works as a volunteer and activist for several HIV charities including The Food Chain and Positively UK. Phil is also a public speaker for the Terrence Higgins Trust and a presenter of The HIV Hour on Radio Reverb.
