Story
This December, I’m taking on a Running Advent Calendar challenge to support Crisis. I’ll be running the number of kilometres that matches the date every day (1km on December 1st, 2km on December 2nd, up to 24km on December 24th), for a total of 300km! Each kilometre I run is a step towards helping people take their first steps out of homelessness.
The first day someone walks through Crisis’ doors can be the day everything changes.
It’s the moment they get out of the cold, feel the weight lift off their shoulders, and take the first steps towards ending their homelessness.
The first day someone spends with Crisis this Christmas isn’t the last. Crisis is there throughout the festive period and beyond, providing life-changing, year-round support - from mental health and wellbeing services to employability guidance and skill-building courses.
That’s why I’m fundraising for Crisis this Christmas - to help more people find safety, hope, and a fresh start.
