Story
I'm excited to share that I am taking part in the Survivors of Human Trafficking in Scotland (SOHTIS), Student Ambassador programme this year !
SOHTIS is a Scottish charity dedicated:
- to prevent, identify, and recover adult and child victims of human trafficking
- to encourage, enable, and empower survivors as they rebuild their lives
- to advocate for the systemic changes needed to end the exploitation of adults and children in Scotland
Many people are unaware that human trafficking is a prevailing issue within the UK. There are an estimated 136,000 victims of human trafficking within the UK with cases being identified in all 32 local authorities within Scotland.
To raise awareness I will be taking on the challenge of cycling 32km to represent the 32 local authorities. I would be grateful if you could support me by donating to SOHTIS through my JustGiving page. Every donation counts 💛
