This is my second time running for HospiceCare North Northumberland in the Great North Run. The GNR is an amazing event, supporting local charities and coming together as a community. HospiceCare is also celebrating its 30th anniversary this year which is an amazing milestone!

HospiceCare is the local Hospice at Home charity for North Northumberland serving a population of over 65,000. We deliver practical and emotional care and support to adults living with a terminal illness requiring palliative input and end-of-life care. We also offer support to their families and carers.

HospiceCare also provides Bereavement and Dementia Support services which are accessed via self-referral. There is no charge at the point of delivery for our services which will cost the Hospice around £1.4m this year.
