Ellie's fundraiser for Alzheimer's Society

Ellie Chapman is raising money for Alzheimer's Society

Isle of Wight Ultra Challenge 2026 · 2 May 2026 to 3 May 2026 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

This year on the 2nd of May Mum and I are taking on the Ultra challenge to walk 106km around the Isle of Wight in just over 24 hours. This year I have chosen to raise money for Alzheimer’s society. This charity is close to our hearts as a very special family member is currently being affected by this terrible disease.

1 in 3 people in the UK are diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, resulting in multiple families having to adapt and navigate as their loved ones face new daily challenges of life with dementia. Currently watching a grandparent go through this disease the support from charities both virtually and in community makes facing these challenges a little easier.

Therefore, I would really appreciate any support and donations to raise money for this charity. As this disease is only becoming more prevalent and seeing the affects this has on people and families demonstrates the importance for research and support to continue.

Thank you for all your support, this will help get us to the finish line!
