Story
Hey guys,
As some of you already know, I am taking on a huge challenge which will take place from the 4th-10th August . I’m running 50km a day for 7 days.
I am doing this to raise money for my dad and a charity called Dystonia UK. It’s been a long time coming, but Dad is hopefully having life changing brain surgery later on this year, as a result of being ill for over 15 years.
Unfortunately for him and our family, doctors and specialists have never being able to understand what has caused Dads health to deteriorate like it has, there have been so many complications but one thing we know for certain is Dad also has Dystonia, this effects his speech and how his body works.
Any donation no matter how big or small will make the biggest difference to somebody’s life and family.
Thanks, Elliot 👊
Please read below for a deeper insight to this awful debilitating illness.
Over 100,000 people in the UK are affected by Dystonia, which is a neurological condition presenting with uncontrollable and sometimes painful muscle spasms. Dystonia is a lifelong condition that affects both adults and children that currently has no cure.
Dystonia UK is children and adults with dystonia, carers and clinicians, fundraisers and families, medical professionals and our amazing members and supporters, all working side by side. Through our fundraisers and supporters (yes that is you!), we can carry on our mission, so thank you!
