Story
Testicular cancer is the most common cancer affecting men aged 15–49 in the UK, but when caught early it is highly treatable and curable.
Three years ago, completely by chance, I noticed something wasn’t right and went to see a doctor quickly. At the time, I didn’t realise how important acting fast would be, but it made all the difference. Thankfully, because it was caught early, the treatment was far easier than it could have been — and now it’s almost like it never happened.
That’s why I’m supporting the OddBalls Foundation Festival with the Midlands Hurricanes: to help raise awareness and encourage more people to check themselves regularly.
A simple check really can save a life — or at the very least make treatment far less invasive.
Check. Detect. Act.
