Thames Path Ultra Challenge 2025 · 13 September 2025 to 14 September 2025 ·

The Sedulo Foundation is the result of years of working with our local communities to alleviate the devastating effect of poverty on children and young people across the UK. We work with regional charities and youth organisations to identify where and how we can make positive change for young people and utilise their delivery mechanisms to maximise our impact. To bring positive change to the communities we work in, we are committed to creating our own direct interventions and bringing tangible change to those who need it most.

Story

At the start of 2025 I was in a personal frame of mind that needed changing. I was demotivated, physically and mentally lost, and struggling for direction.

This is when I decided to pick myself up, kickstarting my journey to start rebuilding that healthy, fit, and confident person I once was. I’d lost so much, including a great running ability 🏃‍♂️

Certainly finding things tough due to having aches and pains from countless sessions in the gym and on the roads, I had an idea come to mind - to use this transition to make a positive impact/ support charity. This is when a fellow Sedulo colleague’s partner, Roger, coincidentally came to me in April to ask if I wanted it run the Thames Ultra Path challenge (45 miles), on the 13th of September 2025.

With no understanding if I was going to be able to do this (I couldn’t even run 10km without feeling horrific), I committed to running this race for the Sedulo Foundation, a challenge that no doubt is the toughest I’ve ever set sights on.

I’ve chosen to raise money for the Sedulo Foundation due to the tremendous work we do to alleviate the devastating effect of poverty on children in the UK, by supporting with campaigns such as the Christmas Toy Appeal, Sedulo Back to School, and Fresh Starts Campaign. Having worked at Sedulo for two years now, I’ve seen first hand what impact our charity arm has - every young child/children/infants deserve to enjoy their youth ages the same as everyone else, no matter what their background is.

So, without further ado, let’s put a a smile on as many children’s faces this upcoming Christmas. If you’d like to follow my race prep journey on this page, or make a donation to support my drive to raise money for the Foundation, it would be hugely appreciated 🙂!
