I’m excited to be running the TCS London marathon to raise funds for the combined day unit at Derby & burton hospitals charity.

As most of you have probably seen, at the start of the year I ran and raised money for this same cause by taking part in the London landmarks half. I raised £1660 but now we need to beat it!

The incredible combined day unit at both Derby and burton delivers vital cancer treatments and has played a significant role in keeping my mum here with us and doing well. Having recently visited the unit myself, I saw first-hand the dedication and genuine compassion of the nurses and staff. Their care goes far beyond medicine — it brings strength, hope, and comfort to patients and their families. Supporting this cause means supporting the people who make such a huge difference every single day.

As I’ve stated before having recently been in to see the ward at Derby and speak with the nurses, I now know first hand what the money is used for and why they are so desperate for it. Every donation goes such a long way so no matter how small everything matters! And I really do appreciate it!
