We promote social inclusion for people diagnosed with dementia and give them a voice. We raise public awareness of dementia. We support the Hampshire Dementia Guide and create our own newsletter to disseminate information about the support and services available and our own outings and events.

Story

I will be taking part in the London Marathon 2025 to raise money for Dementia Friendly Hampshire, with funds going directly to the Dementia Walking Football Group in Petersfield.

For the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of helping to facilitate this wonderful group at Active8 Minds, in collaboration with Dementia Friendly Petersfield and Right at Home.

The Dementia Walking Football Group provides a supportive space for people living with dementia and their carers. We meet twice a month for a fun, low-pressure game of walking football, where participants can enjoy the exercise, have a chat, and share a biscuit or two.

Your support would be great, as well as to the amazing people who benefit from this group. Every donation will help continue to create a safe, welcoming space for people with dementia to stay active, engaged, and connected.

Thank you for your generosity!
