Story

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives.

We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future.

The reason for myself running for Alzheimer’s UK is that my grandad was diagnosed with cardiovascular dementia and unfortunately has passed away on the 22nd of May 2022 and while my grandad was battling the disease my nan has dementia that masked itself and went unnoticed whilst she was caring for her loving husband of over 60 years.

I want to raise awareness for look for a cure and give people some rest bite like so many people like myself don’t have to see there loved one’s go through the pain that dementia brings.

Any money that people can spare will be gratefully appreciated and hopefully my glass knee will be able to make it through the Leeds half marathon
