We deliver mobile cancer care. We are dedicated to driving cancer care forward, bringing vital cancer care closer to thousands of patients. Through donations, we build and maintain mobile cancer care units, and together with the NHS, we want to help as many cancer patients as possible.

Story

This year I turn 30 and felt the need to complete one of life's hardest challenges, a marathon! In April, I will be running through one of the worlds most beautiful cities in the world, Paris. I'm not only doing this for myself, to tick a marathon off, get a medal at the end and a cool picture for Instagram, I'm doing it for something far more important. Raising money for a cause that really matters and the charity Hope for Tomorrow.

Hope for Tomorrow is a UK charity bringing cancer treatment closer to patients’ homes through their mobile cancer care units. By partnering with the NHS, these units deliver chemotherapy and other treatments in local communities, saving patients from exhausting trips to hospitals when they’re already fighting so hard and taking that extra bit of stress off their shoulders.

I've had close family and friends affected by cancer and I'm sure you reading this have also. Around 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lifetime in the UK. Each year, there are about 370,000 new cancer cases diagnosed in the UK and cancer is the second leading cause of death in the UK.

Survival rates has improved significantly over the last few decades. Around 50% of people now survive cancer for 10 years or more and charities like Hope for Tomorrow have a huge part to play in this making cancer treatment more accessible for people. This doesn't come without a cost though. Running one of Hope for Tomorrow's mobile units costs £212 a day and they're a completely self-funded charity so every penny raised goes a long way.

If you know me, yes, I've played sport all my life, mainly football but I head it and kick it, shouting loudly and I absolutely hate running so the 26.2 miles sounds terrible which makes this challenge even more harder also whilst training and still playing football but knowing the money raised is genuinely going to help people makes each step that bit easier.

Times are hard for everyone currently but even harder for people who are suffering with cancer so any donation would truly be really appreciated.

Thank you for your support!
