In 2022, my father needed Mitral valve open heart surgery. The team at St Bartholomew’s Hospital that he was under was led by Mr Kulvinder Lall. Himself and his amazing team performed the surgery on the 15th of December 2022, which sounds dramatic but was life-saving. After a short stay in hospital and rehabilitation at home under the watchful eye of everybody in the cardiac units at both Barts and Whipps Cross, my father’s health returned and his fitness and well-being. As a huge thank you and a mark of my gratitude for what everyone has done for him, I’m going to be fighting in the White Collar Fight Club. For those of you that know, boxing has been a massive part of mine and my family’s life so it’s even more special to be raising money in this way.
