Story
On the 10th of October 2026, myself, Edd & friends are taking part in Sophie’s Mile Charity Truck Pull — in memory of Sophie, who sadly lost her life to ovarian cancer at just 29 years old.
Sophie was the wife of my good friend Edd, and her story has touched us all deeply. Despite everything she went through, Sophie’s strength, kindness and positivity inspired everyone around her. This event is our way of honouring her memory and helping raise vital funds for Target Ovarian Cancer, a charity working to improve early diagnosis, fund research, and support everyone affected by this terrible disease.
Any support will be greatly appreciated!
At Target Ovarian Cancer, we target what’s important to stop ovarian cancer devastating lives. We're the only ovarian cancer charity working across all four nations of the UK. We work with everyone affected by ovarian cancer and health professionals to ensure we target the areas that matter most for them. Our work focuses on three main areas: early diagnosis, research and support for anyone affected by ovarian cancer.
How your donations will help:
– £17 means our support line can help one more person who needs advice and information they can trust.
– £50 can help 50 people learn about the symptoms of ovarian cancer through our leaflets, ensuring they know when to visit the GP.
