Story
The Ellis Edwards Foundation has a community of 50 runners taking part in the London Marathon 2027. We're running on Saturday 24th April to raise money for the Ellis Edwards Foundation - a Bournemouth charity set up in memory of Ellis Edwards who lost his 6-year battle with neuroblastoma, aged 11. Ellis left behind his younger brother and baby sister, and after learning how little support there was for children who had lost a loved one, Ellis' parents set out on a mission to change that.
The Ellis Edwards Foundation offers a glimmer of light during their darkest days, and eases the emotional burden of childhood bereavement by offering accessible, inclusive, and therapeutic experiences.
Through grief breaks, counselling, and community connection, the charity helps children and their families to process loss, build resilience, and rediscover moments of joy, together.
Training for the marathon is tough, but it feels purposeful when it’s connected to something that genuinely matters. If you’re able to donate, thank you - it makes a real difference. Thank you for joining our mission.
