I'm fundraising for a place that holds immense significance for me and my family: Alaw Ward, the dedicated cancer ward at Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor.

For two incredibly challenging years, Alaw Ward became a second home to my amazing Mam as she bravely battled Myeloma. During that time, we witnessed firsthand the extraordinary care, compassion, and dedication of all the staff, who do so much more than just treat illnesses; they provide emotional support, practical help, and a beacon of light for patients and their loved ones navigating the incredibly difficult journey of cancer.

The kindness my Mam received, the dignity with which she was treated, and the genuine care extended by every staff member made a huge difference to her well-being and to our family's peace of mind. It’s a truly special place that deserves all the support we can give.

I wouldn’t wish for anyone to go through what our family and many many others go through, but if unfortunately you do, my first wish would be for you to be fortunate enough to be cared for at Alaw Ward the way my mam was ❤️

Now, it’s my turn to give something back. I’m challenging myself to run 60miles/100km from Chester Racecourse to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor on Saturday the 30th of August 2025. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help Alaw Ward to continue providing vital care and support to other families, and would mean the world to myself and my family, Diolch!
