The Alzheimer’s Society is working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives.

They do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future.

I have been inspired by my step mother to do this. She has had so much strength and been putting so much effort in order to help one of her close friends, Alan, with dementia. I was able to experience seeing her interact with Alan and how devastating the effects are on his mind.

Something that touched my heart especially was when Alan said,

"I am so happy you are here, I had forgotten you had existed."

Which brought me to tears once I had a moment to reflect on it.

With the advances we have in modern medicine, I believe we are just around the corner of many breakthroughs, and I want to help achieve those breakthroughs in any way possible.

Raising £430 is the goal! If I am successful in raising this amount I will be taking a leap of faith from a plane and plumet to the ground at speeds of 120 miles per hour!

I will also be doing mini challenges throughout milestones that we reach that will be following the "Squid Game" theme that my promotional material will have.

I think life is made up of 2 important things, showing kindness and caring to all, and making people smile. I live my life to achieve both of these things.

One of my favourite lecturers, Stuart, taught me something that I hold to my heart,

"If you don't speak, no one can hear you. If you don't show your face, no one can see you."

I make sure that I am seen and heard for the things I stand for, and helping raise awareness and money for charities is one of the things I want to do again and again.
