Elodie has signed up for a huge challenge, taking on the fastest zip wire in the world at Zip World Penrhyn Quarry.

She’ll be flying across a vast slate quarry at speeds of up to 100mph, hundreds of feet in the air, with no way back once she sets off.

This is completely outside Elodie's comfort zone and she is understandably nervous. However, she is determined to push herself and do something brave to raise money for Sandbach Animal Rescue Society, her chosen charity as Middlewich Rose Queen 2024 - 2026.

Elodie has a long history with the Middlewich Rose Fete, undertaking different roles over the years and participating in many events across the region. This year's Rose Fete on 9 May 2026 will be her official retirement day.

Sandbach Animal Rescue Society does incredible work helping cats and kittens who have been abandoned, neglected or need urgent care. Every donation will go towards giving these animals a safe place and a second chance. The charity is important to Elodie, who has two rescue cats of her own.
