Hi, my name is Eloise and I am a children's nurse at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, specifically the Burns Unit.

Having worked on the Burns Unit for nearly 7 years, the care provided doesn't just end on the day of discharge, but in fact can extend on for many many years.

This is where the Children's Burns Foundation steps in:

''The Children's Burns Foundation was established to help young people affected by burns injuries and their families''

This is achieved by:

- Supporting recovery & encouraging psychological well-being (Activity days, on-line support, workshops & summer camps)

- Supporting training (Training programmes for staff & volunteers)

- Supporting innovative research (Funding research into the main causes of post-burn problems)
