Story

Hello everyone! I'm excited to announce that I'll be participating in this year's Robin Hood half marathon.

My running journey began in January 2022 with the Couch to 5K program, resulting in training and running that year's Christmas half marathon at Holme Pierrepoint. It was then that I decided I wanted to tackle the Robin Hood half marathon in the year I turn 50.

Reflecting on my last half marathon, I regretted not raising funds for a charity. Sadly, my Dad was diagnosed with dementia, and my Nannan, who has since passed away, also suffered from dementia.

Witnessing the toll this disease takes on both the individual and their loved ones is truly heartbreaking.

Therefore, I've chosen to support Our Dementia Choir, a charity dedicated to raising awareness and providing support to those affected by dementia. My fundraising goal is £300, and any contribution towards supporting Our Dementia Choir would be immensely appreciated. Thank you in advance for your generosity and support."
