The Wight Brainy Bunch provide emotional support and financial assistance to families on the Isle of Wight affected by brain tumours. The Wight Brainy Bunch fund services such as travel, purchasing of specialist equipment, counselling, physio, cognitive rehabilitation and memory making breaks.

Story

In October we decided to give ourselves another challenge to aim for, having already completing 5 marathons and multiple half marathons between us.

We entered the 2025 IOW 50k Ultra Challenge, and chose to fundraise for The Wight Brainy Bunch as Deb’s older brother Richard died from a Glioblastoma brain tumour.

Ironically at the beginning of November, after an abnormality showed up in an MRI scan, Deb has started having investigations for a Meningioma brain tumour.
