I am running the Midnight Sun Marathon in Tromso (Norway) on 21st June for two important causes (1) Crisis and (2) Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP). I would be very grateful for any donations.

(1) Crisis (in memory of Joe)

My wonderful friend Joe sadly passed away in October 2023. Joe was an incredibly special person - hugely witty keeping us all entertained with his endless opinions and also unbelievably caring. I will be running with his wryly said mantra "keep on keeping on" in mind. Joey is and always will be so very very missed.

Joe was a passionate advocate for the homelessness charity Crisis, including taking to the streets for their Christmas appeal, and I suspect this would have been his nominated cause. With homelessness having risen by over 50% since 2013, to almost 12,000 rough sleepers this year, Joe was absolutely right (as usual) to champion such an important cause.

(2) Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP)*

Having spent some time in the West Bank in the summer of 2019 and 2021, I have seen how the ongoing conflict impacts human lives. MAP works to ensure medical aid reaches those who desperately need it which is so crucial especially at this time.
