Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Elvington Harriers Just Giving page.

Earlier this season, Elvington's no.8 Roy Page sadly passed away. Roy was a fantastic footballer, but much more importantly he was a loving father and fantastic friend to many people across York and beyond.

In memory of Roy, his Elvington teammates will be taking on the National 3 Peaks Challenge in May 2025. The goal is to climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon (the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales respectively), all within 24 hours.

In doing so, the squad will be raising money for local charity York Mind. York Mind is a leading local provider helping people recovering from mental health challenges, supporting individuals' journeys toward recovery, social inclusion, and integration in activities like learning or employment. You can find out more about the work York Mind does at yorkmind.org.uk .

Any amount you are able to donate to the cause would be hugely appreciated by all of the Elvington squad. All the money raised will go to York Mind, supporting the amazing work they do in York.

Rest in peace Roy πŸ’™πŸ’›πŸ’™
