This summer I will be heading to Kenya with Play Action International! I will be helping to integrate play within the local community through building playgrounds in schools in underprivileged areas in Kenya and working directly with the children to emphasise the enjoyment of engaging in play!

I'll be involved in creating an environment that supports children's development and well-being, enabling them to learn essential skills to reach their full potential as play is so important for children.

As a result of playgrounds being built, schools report a profound impact:

- 98% report an increase in attendance in school.

- 74% of children gave 'The Playground' as a reason to attend school.

- 83% of teachers reported improvements in children's attention and behaviour in classes.
