Story
When Daisy heard on the tele that children may not get Christmas dinner, presents or have a happy Christmas due to their parents/carers not having enough money this year, she said she so felt sad, but also angry as this shouldn’t happen.
It’s really affected her, so she decided to fundraise to help children this Christmas by raising money for the Lighthouse, a local charity in Woking which are helping families in need.

She is raising money by tackling a list of chores and tasks that mummy and daddy will sponsor her for.
She is also doing a 2km run dressed as an elf on Saturday 3/12/22, which she hopes you will sponsor her for.
We can't end poverty, but together we can bring some joy and hope to our local friends and neighbours this Christmas.
This is how together we can deliver:
3 days of emergency food for every family or individual referred.
Christmas food parcels
Christmas Day Brunch
Emergency funding for people facing a home emergency
Basic necessities such as clothing, equipment, careers support and signposting
Christmas Gifts to ensure no child has an empty-handed Christmas
People around us this Christmas are going to be facing an impossible choice of heating, paying bills and going without essentials or going in to unaffordable debt.
Adults are telling us they are having smaller meals than usual, or skipping meals or even going a whole day without food because the can't afford to eat. The crisis is set to devastate the budgets of families on lowest incomes, with 30% of their income going to energy bills. Thanks so much for your help.
