My mum and I are running the London Marathon for St John Ambulance because we’ve both seen, first-hand, how essential their volunteers are. She spent her career as a nurse and taken part in many events where the ST Johns teams have been on hand; I’ve worked in security and part of the rugby community, so I’ve watched St John teams step in at events, on the sidelines, and in the moments when people really need them.

This run is our way of backing the people who quietly keep so many of us safe. Any support is hugely appreciated.
